From December 14 through February 15, the Canadian government is offering a temporary GST/HST exemption on qualifying food products. To support this change, Lovingly has updated eligible products in your account so they reflect the correct tax treatment during this period.

There is nothing you need to enable. The exemption is applied automatically for any qualifying item.

What Lovingly Has Already Updated

  • All existing qualifying food products were reviewed and adjusted to remove GST/HST where required.

  • Checkout calculations will automatically reflect the temporary exemption for your customers.

When You Should Reach Out

Please let us know if:

  • You see any items that appear taxed but should qualify for the exemption

  • You add new custom food products that may need to be reviewed for eligibility

Our team will adjust these promptly to keep your store compliant.
