When to Use Workstation Archiving

Use this feature to remove workstations you no longer actively use, such as:

  • Retired or replaced POS devices

  • Workstations no longer in service

  • Test or temporary devices used during setup

Tip: Only archive workstations you’re sure are no longer needed in daily operations. You can restore them by contacting Support.

How to Archive a Workstation

Step 1 – Open Your Profile Menu

From your Lovingly dashboard, click your Profile icon in the bottom-left corner.

Step 2 – Go to Settings & Preferences

From the dropdown menu, select Settings & Preferences.

Step 3 – Open Shop Workstations

In the left-hand menu under Preferences, click Shop Workstations to view your device list.

Step 4 – Choose the Workstation

Step 5 – Confirm the Archive

A confirmation window will appear. Click Yes, Archive to hide the workstation from active lists while keeping its past records intact.

  • All historical transactions, device activity, and related data remain intact.

  • Activity logs record when and by whom the workstation was archived.

FAQ

Will archiving delete the workstation’s data?
No. Archiving only hides the workstation from your active list—it doesn’t remove its history.

Can I unarchive a workstation?
Yes. Contact Lovingly Support, and we can restore it quickly.

Will archived workstations still appear in past records?
Yes. All historical transactions and records remain visible.

Workstation Archiving makes it easy to focus on the devices you actually use today, while keeping complete historical records for reference.
