When to Use Printer Archiving

Use this feature when you want to clean up your printer list, such as:

  • Removing broken or retired printers

  • Clearing duplicate or outdated devices

  • Cleaning up offline printers that clutter dropdowns

Tip: Archiving does not delete history. You’ll still see all print records in past orders and reports.

How to Archive a Printer

Step 1 – Open Your Profile Menu

From your Lovingly dashboard, click the Profile icon in the bottom-left corner.

Step 2 – Go to Settings & Preferences

Select Settings & Preferences.

Step 3 – Select Printing

In the left-hand menu, click Printing under Preferences.

Step 4 – Choose a Section

Select either New Order Notification or SuperTicket to view your printer list.

Step 5 – Archive the Printer

Locate the printer you want to archive and click the red Archive Printer icon.

Step 6 – Confirm

A confirmation modal will appear:
"Ready to archive [printer name]? Archiving will hide it from all dropdowns and/or selection lists—but it will stay visible in past orders and reports."

Click Yes, Archive to confirm.

What Happens After Archiving

  • Printer is removed from all drop downs and selection lists.

  • Historical print job logs remain fully intact.

  • If the archived printer was set as default, the system clears that assignment automatically.

  • Works with offline and duplicate printer connections.

  • Activity logs record who archived the printer and when.
