Getting Started with Lovingly Gift Up
Gift Up gives customers a simple one-click upgrade option immediately after checkout. This creates automatic incremental revenue on orders you're already fulfilling, with no extra work or setup required.
How Gift Up Works
After completing checkout, customers land on the order confirmation page. A clear upgrade offer appears directly below the order summary.
Customer Experience Flow
Customer completes checkout.
Upgrade offer appears (example: Double the Blooms).
Customer clicks Upgrade My Flowers, no forms or payment entry needed.
Upgrade is added instantly to the existing order.
The offer is available for 10 minutes before expiring
What You’ll See:
The order appears in your POS right away.
SMS notifications (if enabled) send immediately.
Email notifications and printed tickets are held for up to 10 minutes to avoid duplicates.
This hold ensures you receive one final, accurate notification containing all upgrade details.
Final Notification
After the 10-minute window closes (or if the customer upgrades sooner), you receive:
One email with final order details
One printed ticket (if applicable)
Identifying Upgraded Orders
Upgraded orders are marked with a green arrow (↑):
Fulfilling Upgraded Orders
Fulfill upgraded orders as usual. Payment for the upgrade is already secured.
Be sure to design to the upgraded value. You have creative freedom to make the enhanced version fuller, more impressive, and clearly elevated from the original.
Tracking Gift Up Revenue
Gift Up revenue appears as a separate line on your regular Lovingly statement.
FAQs
Do I need to set anything up?
No. Gift Up is automatically enabled for participating shops.
How do I know if an order was upgraded?
Look for the green arrow (↑). The order details panel lists what was upgraded.
Will the upgrade come in after I’ve already started designing?
No, the order will not show up in the account until the upgrade has been selected or denied.
What if I can’t fulfill the upgraded version?
Contact the customer directly to discuss alternatives.
Will customers get charged twice?
They’ll see two charges, but only the difference is added during the upgrade.
Can Gift Up be paused?
Yes, contact our Support Team if you need it temporarily disabled (e.g., peak holidays).
