IRS Form 1099: What Florists Need to Know
Updated for 2024–2025 IRS Reporting Requirements
This article explains when you should expect a Form 1099 from Lovingly, how reporting requirements have changed, and what to do if you did not receive your form.
Current IRS Reporting Thresholds
2024 Tax Year (forms issued in January 2025)
The IRS has delayed the universal $600 threshold. For 2024 transactions, third-party processors (including Lovingly Pay) are required to issue a Form 1099-K only if BOTH of the following are true:
Your total payments exceeded $20,000, and
You had 200 or more transactions in the calendar year
If you do not meet both thresholds, you will not receive a 1099-K.
2025 and Beyond
The IRS has announced plans to gradually reduce the threshold, but the final effective dates are subject to change. Lovingly will update you if future reporting requirements are revised.
Why You May Receive More Than One 1099
If your shop processed payments through different providers within the same tax year, you may receive more than one 1099.
Examples include:
A 1099 from Lovingly Pay (processed by Adyen)
Any secondary POS System used at the shop
Each form represents the portion of your annual total processed by that provider.
How and When You Will Receive Your 1099
Lovingly mails and/or emails 1099 forms to the verified physical and email address listed in Lovingly Pay.
Forms for the prior tax year are issued by January 31 each year.
If your address or email has changed recently, please update your Business Info in your Lovingly Account and notify Support to ensure accurate delivery.
Didn’t Receive Your 1099?
If you met IRS reporting thresholds but did not receive your 1099 by mail or email, our Support Team can provide a digital copy.
To request a copy, please contact Support with:
Your business name
The email address on file
The tax year(s) you need
For security reasons, 1099 forms are not available for download in your Lovingly Account. A representative must verify your identity before emailing the document.
If You Did Not Receive a 1099 but Expected One
There are a few reasons this may happen:
Your transactions did not meet IRS thresholds
Your mailing address or email on file was outdated
You previously processed payments through another provider
The IRS adjusted thresholds during the year
Our Support Team can review your payout history and confirm whether a 1099 should have been generated.
