Lovingly is making some changes to the way sales tax is handled for Lovingly partners in the United States. Lovingly partners in Canada are not affected by this change.

Effective January 1, 2021 for US partners:

You will be responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax for Lovingly Shop (your website) and Lovingly POS orders.

Lovingly will be responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax for all Lovingly Marketplace (lovingly.com) orders.

For most partners, the majority of your orders are currently being placed via your Lovingly Shop (your website). You are still responsible for collecting and remitting all sales tax for orders from your Lovingly Shop (your website) and your Lovingly POS.

Separately, you may get orders from Lovingly Marketplace (lovingly.com). Since Lovingly is the “facilitator” for these orders, Lovingly is responsible for collecting and remitting sales tax for Marketplace/lovingly.com orders.

To see a clear breakdown of taxes you owe vs. taxes Lovingly will remit, please download your Detailed Sales Report from your Lovingly Account.

What’s changing?

Previously, Lovingly collected and remitted sales tax only on certain portions of certain orders. Now, there is a clear division between Lovingly Shop (your website) and Lovingly POS orders vs. Lovingly Marketplace/lovingly.com orders.
